"All my inspiration comes from being outdoors. And that's what my hiking company is about. When I have days that I can't create, then that means I need to go hike. I need inspiration. I need nature. It's an integral part of our connection to everything.
This design features a step pattern that is reminiscent of a ladder, symbolizing upward climb with mountains and a downward flow with clouds. It's a beautiful balance of opposites, reflecting the concept of "as above, so below." In Navajo culture, the "Glittering World" is a spiritual realm that exists parallel to our own. It's where the Holy People reside and the Earth was created, embodying beauty, harmony, and balance. This realm is interconnected with ours, influencing and shaping our lives, so these Cloud Earrings are frosted and mirror finish to shimmer in a dance with the light. It reminds us of the sacredness and interconnectedness of all things. I also cut my designs so they fit into each other with zero waste. It's the same way we like we process our animals or sheep, as we are taught to never waste anything. We'll use every single bit of it and then that's what I try to do with my jewelry. "
